Based on the wavelet mathematics theory (invented by Morlet in the early 1980), CIRA has developed a unique digital image compression algorithm called Waaves. In opposition to older technologies like jpeg, Waaves has a global approach preventing from pixelisation issues.
Waaves compression process can be divided into four main stages:
